“I’m sorry. I lost my train of thought”

August 30th, 2007 · No Comments

Today was pretty normal for us.  Tori went to school, her picture day was today.  Travis and I ran some errands and we spent the rest of our time on the computers.  Travis is such a strong guy.  He never makes any excuses.  Brain surgery hardly slowed him down.  Hours after his surgery he was already on his cell phone.  He never complains about pain.  You almost would not even know he just had a major surgery.  There is one thing that makes me sad.  From time to time while he is in a conversation he will say, “I am sorry.  I lost my train of thought.”  When this happens I usually pause a second to see if he will gather his thoughts.  Usually he doesn’t so I repeat the last sentence or two that he said and then he remember what he was just talking about and continues on with the conversation.

Travis is a really smart guy.  He is one of the hardest workers I know.  I hate that this has been happening to him.  I hope that it is related to all of the medication that he is on and that it is not something permanent.
