The family comes for a visit

My parents drove up to visit and brought Tori.  I could not be happier.  I miss all of them so much, especially Tori.  Everything went well.  On Saturday night we went to El Torrito because that is one of Tori’s favorite restaurants.  The service was kind of questionable but that made the night more memorable.  Sunday we took Tori to the local Farmers Market, for a walk down the main street here and then school shopping at the mall.

Monday was a big day.  The biggest that Travis had since his surgery.  We took a day trip to San Francisco.  I drove all of us. I had no idea how to get there except to take the 101 North and I had no plans once we got there.  With the help of my mother and some street signs we found Fisherman’s Wharf.  We parked the car and walked around.  Travis took Tori inside an old ship called the Jeremiah O’Brian.  They took pictures.  I hung out on the pier with my mom and dad.  After they got off the ship we walked around a bit and then ate lunch at a restaurant called Boudin.  It was pretty good.  After lunch we bought some souvenirs, got back in the car and drove over the Golden Gate Bridge.  I thought that it would be scary but it really was not.  At the end of the bridge there is a viewing area.  We parked, got out of the car and took pictures.  Once we had enough we got back in the car and drove home.

Tuesday was a sad day for me because my family had to leave.  Travis woke up not feeling well at all.  I guess the trip to San Francisco was a bit much for him.  He spent the day in bed sleeping, or at least trying to sleep.  I spent the day spending as much time as possible with my family.  I took Tori to the pool.  Once my parents checked out of their hotel they met us at the pool.  We watched Tori swim and then went for a walk to a gelato shop.  Tori and I both got gelato.  It was really good.  It was my first time trying it.  We walked back to our apartment, packed up Tori’s things and I had to say goodbye.  This is so hard for me.  And one of the main reasons why I hate this tumor is because of what it has done to our family.  Poor Tori has had to put up with so much.  We have had to spend the summer apart.  And she has had to make a lot of sacrifices at such a young age.
